Because of the special meeting last Sunday, the Special Talk was moved to today. Jane was able type out notes on her ipad for me so I could follow along. She's so sweet.
Here are a few points I especially liked:
Ecclesiates 7:2, Genesis 2:7, and Psalm 146:6 explain how death simply is the opposite of life, so when the "breath of life" is lost, we are not still living on somewhere.
Ecclesiates 3:19, 20 also makes this clear because the same end is understood for animals.
But it's hard for people to accept that, we want our life to continue and be meaningful: that's how we should feel, because we were created with the desire to live forever and keep learning, Ecclesiates 3:11
So how has Jehovah lovingly corrected the situation? Jesus' sacrifice makes it possible for our sins to be forgiven, and death reversed. Acts 17:31 says we have a guarantee of the resurrection.
And I think we're all looking forward to that!

A family that Jane knows from Michigan is visiting for the week and they were able to join us for the Sunday meeting, and we met up with them later for dinner. And it just so happens that dinner involved the deadly blowfish filet, which I ate in my soup. (I did not die)

For lunch several of the sisters wanted to treat me to a nice meal, and they chose an Italian place. It was pasta and pizza with a delicious Korean spin. I even ate squid-ink risotto. Its common here to order one main dish, or a few selections and everyone shares. So we let them pick out what they knew was good, and I'm glad we trusted them. mmm
